The New Schedule is Underway!

We did it! We got rid of one of the twins naps! Ok, seems lame to most of you , but huge around here! They were taking 3 naps in a day, they really do not need the third nap anymore and can be up and active for longer periods of time without "hitting the wall" so to speak.

So here is the kids day in a nutshell...

7 am rise and shine! Bob and I feed the kids a bottle

8 am breakfast (usually fruit and maybe some finger food like cereal!)

play, play play...

9 -11 am nap

11 am bottle

get dressed, play some more!

12 noon lunch (cereal or fruit and granola, a veggie and finger food)

play, go for a walk or go out and about in the "real world"

1 30 ish -3 pm nap

3pm bottle

play, go out and about again!

5 pm dinner (usually veggie and a meat, and fruit as well as an adventurous finger food!)

play for a bit or hang with friends outside

6 15 bathtime and jammies

7 pm Bob gives them a bottle and has some Daddy play time with the kids

7 30 nighty night M and R!

Pretty packed schedule, huh? I am exhausted at the end of the day for sure, even more so that a) they ditched a nap (hour of kid free time for me!) 2) They are so much more active that I am always on "alert!"

Riley has now learned to climb the stairs as well as climb over stuff to get what he wants. Usually, it is not a toy but something he should not be going for....plants, plugs, cords, drawers, doorways to other rooms etc! It is fun to see the determination in his eyes when he is after something. I am really trying to use the word "no" and redirect him (the teacher in me I guess!)

I am posting some pictures of him scaling the toy box and crawling into corners...

Madison made some big strides in her crawling efforts today! The is up on all fours a lot more and "rocking" back and forth. She did make some forward progress today! She has been moving great distances backwards and seems to always end up under the furniture. Still happened today! The other thing Madison LOVES to do is read! Anytime there is a book out, she is grabbing for it! Gotta love that! :)
