I am totally exhausted and I think the kids are too! What a day we had!
Here are the highlights...
*Favorite Food of the day:
Macaroni, tomato and beef (picture spagettios!)
Madison is the self feeding queen. Today she popped some banana slices and some baby cheese puffs.
Riley loves to use the spoon on his own and does really well with it. I tried to sneak some banana on the spoon today to get him to put it in his mouth. It sort of worked, but he is still leery of solid pieces of food.
*Outing of the day:
Went to Border's book store, Trader Joe's, Baby Gap and the card store.
*Comments received when out:
Are they twins?
A boy and a girl?
Boy, he really wants to get out of that seat and move around, huh?
*Funny Madison moment:
Talking to me and "singing" to Justin Timberlake in the car.
*Funny Riley moment:
Practiclly swining himself out of the swing. He was "pumping and making the swing go about twice as high as it was supposed to go. Did not know if I should laugh or cry!!!
*Funny Brewsky moment:
Thinking Riley would be able to play fetch with him. Kept bringing him the toy and dropping it at his feet. So sweet!
*Issues of the day:
Riley has decided he wants to play with any toy Madison has. If she expresses interest in something, he crawls over and grabs it. So far, she has been quite tolerant, but I think she is beginning to get a little more aggressive. (and I am glad!) Today, she grabbed a toy that Riley had taken from her, and put it on the other side of her body where he could not see it!
We had a blast, but I am so exhausted. Things have gotten easier in a way now that they are older, and harder in others. No matter, I am going to bed with a huge smile on my face again!
