I took Madison to a swim school. Guess what? She cried!!!! She never cries, ever! She is so even tempered all the time. She loves the bath and splashing at home. I honestly think it was the noise. It was very loud in there. Indoor pool, tons of kids and classes going on etc. By the end of the class she was doing better. Here is the KICKER.....! I think part of it was that she did not know why Riley was not there with us. She was giving me wierd looks from the time I put her in the car. She is always "talking" to me in the car and she was silent! Then, I took her out of her carseat to carry her into the swim school (I never do that with 2) and she had a puzzled look. It continued and she usually LOVES going to public places. She has never been anywhere without Riley! He went to the doc without her, but she was at home. So, anyway, when we got home, she was on my moms lap and Riley woke up from his nap. I went to get him and when she saw him, she screamed out and reached for him. When I brought him closer she was smiling, laughing and touching his face and arm. My mom and I were practically crying!!!! I thought she really did not notice so much, guess I was WAY wrong! SOOOOOO SWEET!

I am totally exhausted and I think the kids are too! What a day we had!

Here are the highlights...

*Favorite Food of the day:
Macaroni, tomato and beef (picture spagettios!)
Madison is the self feeding queen. Today she popped some banana slices and some baby cheese puffs.
Riley loves to use the spoon on his own and does really well with it. I tried to sneak some banana on the spoon today to get him to put it in his mouth. It sort of worked, but he is still leery of solid pieces of food.

*Outing of the day:
Went to Border's book store, Trader Joe's, Baby Gap and the card store.

*Comments received when out:
Are they twins?
A boy and a girl?
Boy, he really wants to get out of that seat and move around, huh?

*Funny Madison moment:
Talking to me and "singing" to Justin Timberlake in the car.

*Funny Riley moment:
Practiclly swining himself out of the swing. He was "pumping and making the swing go about twice as high as it was supposed to go. Did not know if I should laugh or cry!!!

*Funny Brewsky moment:
Thinking Riley would be able to play fetch with him. Kept bringing him the toy and dropping it at his feet. So sweet!

*Issues of the day:
Riley has decided he wants to play with any toy Madison has. If she expresses interest in something, he crawls over and grabs it. So far, she has been quite tolerant, but I think she is beginning to get a little more aggressive. (and I am glad!) Today, she grabbed a toy that Riley had taken from her, and put it on the other side of her body where he could not see it!

We had a blast, but I am so exhausted. Things have gotten easier in a way now that they are older, and harder in others. No matter, I am going to bed with a huge smile on my face again!

OK, MAJORLY JUMPING AHEAD!

So, here is the deal. I was gonna write all about the days (only 14) Madison and Riley were in the hospital, the schedule we had them on once they were home, being up in the wee hours of the night and a few milestones for them.

Well, guess what? Motherhood took over and time for technology went out the freeking window! Now, I am not saying it was not for good cause! However, if I had a moment, I was doing things around the house, catching up on calls, and oh yeah, taking a shower!!!

My darling twins are now 8 months old! Holy cow time flies! I decided the best thing to do is just pick up from the present and write on!

Every day around here is a blast and instead of always playing catch up, I am going to just skip on ahead!!!
